Welcome to visit the leading Nordic growth company campus – Maria 01. Maria 01 is located in the premises of the former Marian Hospital, founded in 1884. The hospital was Helsinki’s first public hospital, which operated in the area until 2014. After the hospital operations were discontinued, approximately 20,000 square meters of unused space was available, and a suitable location was finally found for the long-planned growth company hub. Today, Maria 01 has six buildings on the campus, which serve as offices, event spaces, and a meeting place for the growth company ecosystem, among other things.
Currently, Maria 01 is home to about 180 early-stage growth companies, prestigious venture capital funds, and international investors and large companies with a strong foothold in the technology field. The owners of Maria 01 are the Startup Foundation, the Helsinki New Business Center, and the City of Helsinki. In total, the Maria 01 community includes over 1500 members who support each other on their journey towards success.
